The Whistler and His Dog

Arthur Pryor's best-known composition, The Whistler and His Dog, exists in a variety of forms. This arrangement is largely based off of the concert band version, and can be used to feature an E-flat clarinet soloist. Whimsical and fun for both players and audience! Scored for E-flat clarinet; four clarinets; alto clarinet, basset horn or clarinet 5; bass clarinet; contrabass or contralto clarinet or string bass; optional snare drum, bass drum and cymbals; optional glockenspiel.
