The Wings of a Song

Combining Mendelssohn's beautiful On Wings of Song melody with an original countermelody, this piece may be sung as either a traditional two-part partner song or in an optional SSA version. This gem brings together everything you want in quality repertoire for developing voices: a meaningful, engaging text, a supportive piano accompaniment, and memorable melodies and harmonies that singers will carry with them. It's an excellent way to introduce the music of a classical composer to your students.
