This amazing piece of music has the power to reach the heart of anyone who hears it!  Written in the style of a gentle Irish ballad, Samuel Hazo has crafted a truly stunning work.  Lush harmonies, lower voices on a rich "piper's drone" and a gracefully folk-like melody create a sensual experience that will encourage the very best performance by your band.  There is an optional short narration that quotes an old Irish blessing that was the inspiration for the work.  This works equally well in concert programs and as the expressive piece in a festival program.  Highly recommended!
