There's A Song in the Air

There's a song in the air is a Christmas carol and a United Methodist Church hymn. The composer, Karl P. Harrington, was a skilled organist, studied music, wrote many hymns, and was a Wesleyan University music teacher. He came across the poetry of Josiah G. Holland and was inspired to write the melody, which he titled, a Christmas Carol. Grace Joy Reid wrote this arrangement for Soprano, Marie Bowles, for the Christmas Eve Service at Spriggs Road Presbyterian Church, which Ms. Bowles sang quite lovely in December of 2021.
