This Child

A cappella vocals and a taste of Celtic style give this tender lullaby an earthiness to match the scene at the stable in Bethlehem.  A folk-like melody and occasional open-fifth harmonies add a distinct color to the work, but the prominence of the text is never compromised as the anthem renders a sense of wonder at the Child who came to save humankind.  Exceptional!
