Three Bones Concerto

Using word play from the word "Bones," the composer named his three movements Cuban(after the Cuban bone fish), Lazy, and Hip. The first movement is a short, rhythmically driven display for the three solo trombones, with a Latin flair. The second movement is slow and bluesy, and allows each soloist a chance for individual expression. The final movement uses more contemporary drumbeats and instrumental sounds, Commissioned in 2013 by the Alabama Wind Ensemble, along with several other universities. Duration 16'.
