Three Hip Mice

Ingeniously composed using just the three-note motif from the nursery rhyme Three Blind Mice, jazz keyboard master Steve Allee has created an impressive and unique fusion-style chart for mature groups. Weaving the melody from section to section over the top of a continuously churning rhythm section foundation, this chart is a great way to spice up festival repertoire. The solos are handed out to alto sax and trumpet, but the chart can be opened up or adapted to accommodate any number of soloists. Dynamic and fresh!
