Three Intradas

Hans Leo Hassler, one of the most famous German composers of all time, was skilled in merging German and Italian late Renaissance styles and influenced many composers leading into the early Baroque era. Three stylistically contrasting intradas are featured in this very playable collection for brass quintet that makes a great church prelude or concert opener. Equal distribution of lines between all parts, rhythmic contrasts, and dynamic changes make this a sparkling early music gem.
