Three London Sketches

Whether performed as a complete concert suite or as individual movements, this exciting and highly accessible work is an engaging homage to the city of London and some of its most iconic landmarks. It will fit comfortably in any high school or advanced middle school concert program. I. Tower Bridge is a regal fanfare featuring stately themes and crisp percussion; II. St. Paul's (The Whispering Gallery) - timpani and clarinet effects along with sustained and dramatic swells depict the famous Whispering Gallery in London's renowned cathedral; Trafalgar Square is a triumphant march in 6/8 full of heroic brass figures and sweeping woodwind lines.
