Three Selections from Woodland Sketches

Woodland Sketches, Op. 51, is a collection of short piano pieces by the American composer, Edward MacDowell. Many of the pieces' subjects are indicative of the nature and wildlife surrounding MacDowell's farm, while others were inspired by MacDowell's walks in the woods. This setting for clarinet choir uses three of the "sketches". It is the hope of the arranger that this suite will be rewarding to the performers and the audience.
