  lyrical content speaks about a spiritual conviction and belief that one will
  reunite with their loved ones who have died in an afterlife existence in
  heaven at the second coming of Christ, The King.

"Amazing Grace" is more than a hymnit's a cultural and spiritual touchstone. Written in the late 1700s by John Newton, a former slave ship captain turned Anglican clergyman, the lyrics reflect a man grappling with the weight of his past and the mercy he never expected. The power of the song is in its honesty: no pretense, no performance, just a raw recognition of failure met by a grace that is truly undeserved.

This arrangement by Antonia Wilson and Legato Vocal Ensemble gives that timeless message a fresh voice. It honors the soul of the original while offering something distinct and compelling. This arrangement of the National Anthem of the Bahamas arose from two hearts that overflowed with a patriotic and abiding love of their homeland.  Inspired by the majestic and wistful strains of the Anthem, Bahamaland, they were moved to add their distinct musical voice to the chorus of compatriots.  

The arrangers aspired to retain the stately and resplendent qualities of the Anthem, although appending it their unique expressions.  However, essential elements such as the key signature, melody, and rhythm are retained. Yet, the reharmonizations found at key textual, phrasal, and cadential points provide an exciting variation.  In addition to use of contrary and oblique motions, "text-painting" is also used to underscore key words found in the text.  In the opening phrase, for example, the scripturally- similar words "Lift Your Head" is emphasized as an opening declaration, which embodies the essential message of the Anthem.  Additional textual points such as "march on", "world", "pledge to excel", "onward", "together", and "loftier goal" were also highlighted to resonate with the stirring poetic and music sentiments expressed in the Anthem. 

This A capella arrangement can also be performed with piano or organ accompaniment.  Because the Anthem and this arrangement are through-composed, it may be easily adapted for other instrumental arrangements such as Brass, Strings and even Orchestra.

  setting in Bethlehem where Jesus Christ was born, to the beautiful isle of
  Nassau. The ballad depicts many cultural expression of the Bahamas.

Lord, Make Me an Instrument of Thy Peace is a wonderfully approachable
  Caribbean choral work based on the Prayer of St. Francis.  The music is easy for singers to learn and
  is memorable for those listening. The flute and percussion parts add great
  color as well, although the piece can still work without them.

  Dr. Rodney D. Smith, as the official University Hymn.  Selective brass and woodwind and percussion
  instruments were requested by the composer to create the band accompaniment
  arranged by Antonia N. Wilson.

Ode to Music is a choral composition that is both delightful and dramatic. The opening section provides a beautiful statement that flows into a calypso-infused rhythm that builds into a beautiful big ending.

This somber spiritual is written as a call and response between the soloist and the choir. It communicates both a deep longing to see Jesus and a joyful anticipation at the thought of being with Him. The choir begins the piece with a moaning call for Zion, then they support the soloist with rich yet simple harmonies. The soloist expresses the mood with a passionate and heartfelt interpretation of the music.

Praise is a Bahamian Anthem composed in honor of its nation's transition
  from British sovereignty to independence. 
  The original piece was written with a patriotic flair.   This contemporary arrangement maintains a
  classic style and sound which preserves the national ethos of dignity and
  pride of its era.  This paean should
  always be presented with deep conviction, honor, gratitude, and humility.

From the opening plea, which conveys a yearning for divine breath to fill humanity so mankind may glorify the Creator, to the bridge that seeks His guidance and revelation, the song captivates listeners with its dynamic melodies and harmonies. It begins like a gentle stream, gradually swelling into a powerful, deep riverfull and profound.
