Many of Thad Jones' charts were recorded by the Harry James Orchestra in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Several of these were never available since they remained a part of Harry James' library and were discovered in his archives. Highlights include totally different versions of the familiar Jones classics Three and One and Tiptoe. This "brand new" arrangement of the Thad Jones standard Tiptoe features a trumpet soloist (written for Harry James) with a big band. As with most of Thad's arrangements there is an exciting shout chorus that leads back to the melody. This is a must-have addition to any favored list of Thad Jones charts!
