To See and to Feel (The World)

Grade 2.5 string orchestra music. Program information: Written in honor of the composer's grandmother who suffered from dementia at the end of her life, the music asks and interprets the question "What is it like to see and feel the world and not be able to share it with the ones you love?" The opening theme should emphasize the dramatic shift from minor to major. The main theme at m.14, m. 20, and the climax at m.33 should joyously solidify the major key. The contrasting area at m.24 should feel longing and reflective but optimistic at the same time. When performing, consider a loved one you wish you had more quality time with.
