Tomfoolery

As the title suggests, Tomfoolery is a piece that calls for three players with one tom each. It uses hocket rhythms between the players for the main thematic material in the opening and closing A sections. The sandwiched B section features each player in a brief solo, then together in a rudimental unison passage. This piece also involves various extended techniques such as stick clicks, playing on the rims of the drums, and playing on other performers' drums. A great selection for beginning-intermediate percussion ensembles, it will keep performers engaged and audiences entertained!
