Toy Symphony

Haydn's Toy Symphony is the perfect piece to have some musical fun! The "toy" instruments in this work are trumpet, tenor drum, cuckoo, nightingale, rattle and triangle with a surprise appearance of a quail in the trio section of the "Menuetto."  For the premiere, the arranger of the piece was not only the conductor, but the surprise quail in the "Menuetto" as well for an amusing surprise! Scored for 2 flutes, alto flute and bass flute, plus the "toy" instruments listed above.
