This chart opens as a Latin Samba to announce the motif in the brass with a response from the saxes. After that opening, switches into an up-tempo bebop type swing expanding the motif and switches back and forth between Latin and swing throughout.
Plenty of solo opportunity as the band settles in a minor blues, and goes full on Samba, with an opportunity for your best player to show off in a cadenza before returning to the opening. Runtime starts at around 4 minutes, and can extend indefinitely with solos.
