This early work of mine was started in New York City in 2008 and finished in Montana in 2010. Each of the composition's three movements are a tribute to a favorite composer of mine. The first movement is an homage to Olivier Messiaen. The second movement is a comical, but loving tribute to Elliott Carter. Finally, the third movement is largely composed of a Shostakovich-styled waltz.
