Trois Petites Fugues

Built on three original fugue motifs, take the listener seamlessly through three different styles, moods, and time signatures while maintaining a steady pulse all the way through. The final measures meld the first and third fugue melodies together to bring the piece to a glorious ending. Harmonically, students will travel through G major, D major, and E minor as well as brief visits through a variety of harmonic centers via transitional or developmental material.
