Riding an airplane, the turbulence you experience can be uncomfortable to
some. As the rain hits the windows of the plane, it starts out as a few
drops, but increases very quickly as the piece moves forward. The main melody
comes back time and time again as the trip moves forward. It seems to calm
down for just a moment towards the middle of the piece before the chromatic
notes remind you that the storm is not quite over. As you come to the end of
the flight, the skies clear, the plane lands, and the last of the raindrops
fade away into nothing.
