Turtle Music, Op. 183

A collection of five short pieces detailing possible occurrences during a typical day in the life of a turtle couple. Significantly, each piece begins with the same melodic idea (in different keys). The music is freely tonal and is not excessively dissonant. In the fourth piece we learn that the turtle couple are the Kupfermans (Jewish turtles?). In the last piece we observe that though turtles may try to run, they aren't very fast.
