"Gunnar Eriksson's adaptation of Purcell's Music for a While, a fabulous piece of music to sing and to be a part of, inspired these arrangements of two Bach minuets. The first minuet, from Klavierbuchlein fur Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, was thus composed for a keyboard instrument and the original presentation is well-suited as a prelude to this adaptation for choir. In a concert with a cellist, the Cello Suite No. 1 in G major was performed, where the cellist alone played Minuet I and the choir was added with this arrangement for Minuet II. Naturally, the proposed instruments are the preferable choice for these pieces, but new timbres can be explored if, say, a guitar or an accordion is used. A piano or a keyboard could certainly be used instead of a cello, and a clarinet would be an excellent counterpart to the choir instead of the piano." - Anna Cederberg-Orreteg
