My 'Twelve Handler' were inspired by the hundreds of waltzes and other dances composed by the prolific Franz Schubert. Like his, mine are short waltzes in binary form. Unlike his, mine feature special crunchy dissonances that you will enjoy (or not). Unusual phrase lengths are common. I experiment with rhythm and meter in the last four. 'Handler' is not a musical term but rhymes with 'Landler,' an early version of the waltz.
