Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

Tom Kubis' clever treatment of the nursery rhyme "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" offers up a creative take on a song that everyone in your audience is guaranteed to know. The melody is played twice in a Basie style, with the key shifting for the second time. Things are largely mellow until the shout chorus at the end, where the band can ramp things up a bit. Solos are for tenor sax and plunger muted trumpet.
