Ukrainian National Anthem also known as Shche ne Vmerla Ukrainy i Slava I Voila was composed by Mykhailo Verbytsky (1815-1870). Moved by recent events with the attack on Ukraine, I created this new re-imagined contemplative music arrangement of Shche ne Vmerla Ukrainy i Slava I Voila for Wind Quintet. I was so overcome by emotion that I found myself breaking down in tears as I wrote this. I hope this piece resonates with you. This is dedicated to the people of Ukraine.
