This work was conceived with the intention of exploring modal harmony as an expression vehicle to recreate the nostalgic and melancholic scenes presented by this poem, published in the book Dias de Solsticio (Solstice Days) by Belen Ojeda. It is written with influence of the Venezuelan madrigal style. The music attempts to create the different moods suggested by the text, while using some onomatopoeic resources to recreate the tolling of the bells at the bell tower.
