unBroken

Drawing from his own experiences with mental health crises, Randall Standridge has created a work that reflects on the experiences of individuals living with depression, anxiety, and other such conditions.  The original work in his "unBroken Project", this advanced work for wind ensemble alternates between cloudy suspensions, bittersweet melodies, romanticism, and atonal serialism to create a shifting soundscape that illustrates an individual breaking down and then rising from the wreckage.  Created with the intent of sparking conversations and normalizing discussions about mental health, this work is sure to leave an impact on performers, audiences, and conductors alike.
