Under the Shade Tree

This Grade 2 piece scored for 9 to 12 players genuinely captures the mood of its title!  Simple rhythms are traded between the parts creating a work that is both interesting and pleasant to the ear.  It also introduces the players to color-changing techniques such as playing with mallet handles. Quite a find!
