Une Petite Waltz

A Medium-Advanced level work for String Orchestra that captures the flavor of a Viennese Waltz but with a lighter, French influenced feeling There is a wide variety of teaching opportunities for several techniques. Each of the sections contains interesting, yet quite playable melodic lines and shifting harmonies as well as some rhythmic syncopation. The articulations include, legato, staccato, detache, trills, pizzicato, and hooked bowings. There are also two key changes. The colors and mood of the piece make UNE PETITE WALTZ a fun and interesting work for teachers, players and audience.
