Untold Story

This beautiful jazz ballad is the perfect showcase for an aspiring trumpet soloist. The pensive melody and rich harmonies combine to create a wonderful change-of-pace chart. While there is a short section that may be improvised, the solo part is entirely written and no improvisation is required. The ensemble is often featured and offers strong support for the soloist. Plus, it's playable with optional reduced or expanded instrumentation. Very nice!
