Up Jumped Spring

This Freddie Hubbard jazz standard is typically a jazz waltz, but this superb chart has a very hip Latin partido feel in 4/4. The tempo is half note around 77 bpm with solo opportunities for tenor 1 and trumpet 2, with suggested written solos provided. The lead trumpet range goes to written A-flat, there's a great sax soli, and optional flute and vibe parts are included. An excellent choice!
