Up on the Housetop

This driving rock version of Up on the Housetop is full of interesting surprises and perfect for young jazz bands or experienced ensembles. After establishing the funky rock groove, there's a duet between trumpet and alto sax to state the melody. The solo section features space for improvised solos for alto sax, tenor sax or trumpet over blues changes in E-flat concert. Optional parts for flute, clarinet and horn in F are included for expanded instrumentation. Can it be a Christmas concert without Up on the Housetop?
