This TTBB setting of "Wake, Awake" follows a simple but effective dramatic arc: the opening is set in unison and spare thirds, the second in regal, voice-led triads, and the third in challenging close harmony. There are comfortable voice ranges throughout, and the piece is equally effective with a men's quartet, or a larger choir. Great for Christmas Eve services, Carols and Lessons, or anytime during the Christmas season. This arrangement was first recorded on the album "Enough" by A Bunch of Guys, which raised over $30,000 for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America's World Hunger program.
