Waking

Inspired by Bach's keyboard inventions, the "Inventions for Choir and Piano" takes the ideas of a singer's essence – breath, heart, body, and spirit – and sets them to poetry by Charles Anthony Silvestri with parallel compositional techniques. An expressive piano accompaniment, sensitive vocal lines, and lush harmonies characterize Waking, a commentary on singing through all parts of life.
