Waltz of the Turtles

Here's a light and entertaining work for first-year musicians that's the perfect vehicle for teaching and reinforcing playing in 3/4 time. As the title implies, it's meant to be a fun and good-humored piece that makes learning and playing fun. The full ensemble begins and is followed by the woodwinds and then brass separately, making the piece easy to rehearse while teaching rhythmic independence. A great entertaining and educational addition to any elementary band program.
