Watchnight

"Watchnight" is in many ways a traditional Christmas Eve service with all of the elements we would expect - quiet music, children reading the Christmas Story, candlelight as well as communion. This musical is a quiet celebration of waiting, a rekindling of the child's soul in all of us, and a reminder that the mystery of God's plan for Christmas Day is still alive...if we see it again through the eyes of a child. This is an extraordinary work, filled with many opportunities for congregational singing, and is the product of two outstanding writers well versed in the needs of the church choir as well as the congregation. Elegant in its simplicity, "Watchnight" is truly outstanding!
