Water Ballet

This graceful piano solo is a favorite of teenage girls. In the key of e minor, the music flows along smoothly in triple meter. While the A section is a musical picture of swimming, the B section brings dancing to mind with two note slurs followed by a staccato note on beat three. Key changes take place in this section as well. Here the listener experiences the flavor of E flat Major, c minor, C Major, a minor, B Major and back to e minor.
