An arrangement for flute and piano of this traditional Thanksgiving tune. I set two verses in C to begin. The piano must take care not to overpower the flute in its lowest register in verse two. Verse three moves to D flat in a more florid variation. In bar 58 I begin a kind of developmental section which builds to a majestic setting of verse four, gradually coming down to a contemplative, quiet ending.
