Six Planetary Acrostics was composed in 1980 and entered into the Ithaca College International Choral Competition where it was awarded second prize. The score is composed for SATB &amp; Piano and is intended for high school, college or professional chamber choir.

The texts were written by grade school kids as a science project for remembering the order of the planets outward from the sun. When the exercise was assigned and when the composition was written Pluto was still regarded as a planet!

The acrostics bear the creative signature of children and the music is intended to be fun as well as educational. I hope your choir enjoys singing these little vignettes as much as I enjoyed composing them.

This 4 minute duo was written for a friend's upcoming wedding in June of 2024 and will be performed during quiet, reflective moments following the exchange of vows. There is a brief quote from Smetana's "The Moldau" in the last measures since the newlyweds are citizen's of the Czech Republic and will be married near Prague. The compositional style is very tonal and the overall effect is inspiring yet soothing. It can be used for a variety of ceremonies, and as a concert or encore selection. The edition includes full score and a cello part as well.

A colorful, rhythmically energetic three movement work with romantic and contemporary overtones. The Sonatina is modeled on the classical sonatina form: Allegro (4:30), Andante (2:45) and Vivo (3:19).  This work appears on Wes Fishwick's CD, "Summer Journey" and is performed by the composer and violinist, Melody Wooton. The 1st movement is uploaded on My Score along with the written music. Fun for students and a great addition to professional recitals and recording projects. Enjoy!
