West African Eve Rhythms for Drumset

This drumset book shares the music and culture of the Eve (pronounced "eh-fvay") people of West Africa through the eyes and ears of the master artists of Africa. This 363-page book and DVD (with 90 clips total over two hours of footage) is geared for percussionists of all ability levels interested in the powerful sounds from West African music and culture.  With hundreds of musical examples, pictures, ancient symbols, and text explanations, the book represents a lifetime of learning from the people of Ghana connecting the sounds and feelings to the modern drumset.  Various ways are also explored to other styles like jazz, funk, reggae, gospel, and West African highlife.
