Westminster 1945 Overture

Inspired by a 1945 postcard of the clocktower in London formerly known as Big Ben. Westminster 1945 features many themes, from brass chorales reminiscing on the solemnly harsh nature of war to brilliant allegro sections that seem to hint at post war celebration. The infamous chime theme heard at the beginning of the piece reappears for an intense low brass driven finale.
