We've Come This Far by Faith

This general or dedication anthem based on Hebrews 11:1 allows the choir to affirm that as a congregation, "We come this far by faith and know by faith we'll travel on."  This is an anthem you will want your choir to have ready. The piano introduction gives a hint of the gentle flow of the melody to come.  The choir enters in unison and moves to a mixed two-part section, building to an inspiring refrain in four-part harmony. Consider inviting the congregation to join the refrain each time it occurs. There are opportunities where inviting the children and youth to join would be appropriate. A creative slide show projecting the history and future of the faith community would work well with this anthem.
