Wind Chimes Beneath a Summer Rain

Written as primarily a ballad, rolling four mallets and rubato rhythmical patterns create a mood which is portrayed in the title. This piece requires a 4.5 octave (low F) marimba as well as a graduated set of mallets from medium soft to medium hard.  This mallet choice is soft enough for the chorals but still possesses the proper articulation for the more rhythmic sections. Approximate playing time is nine and a half minutes.
