Windy Day Rock

Inspired by the strong winds of Southern California, this energetic work for young band features vivid sound effects that evoke gusts and swirling air. Built using only the first six notes of the B‑flat major scale and with lots of doubling, it is designed for performance with limited instrumentation. Simple techniques such as one‑finger trills, glissandos, and blowing air through instruments imitate the sound of wind, creating a unique and fun soundscape.
