Winter Ice

Program Notes: "Winter Ice, so cold, it bites and saps your strength with all its might. So beautiful, it freezes your stare, while the arctic winds blow through the air." Once I heard the story of The Little Match Stick Girl, this was the music that began playing in my head as I imagined the poor girl walking through the wind and snow on a dark winters night. *For those interested, there is an alternate version written for Alto Flute and 1 Vibraphone with 2 players.
