The version for baritone solo, mixed chorus and piano , worked out by Gregor Meyer, conductor of the Leipzig Gewandhaus chorus and Vocalconsort, now enables a wider circle of musicians to perform the popular lieder. Leaving melody and text unchanged, Meyer provides the lonely wanderer with a stylistically diverse as well as atmospherically dense choral accompaniment.
