Wooden Stone

Duration approximately 15:25 Inspired by the poem "Wooden Stone" by Karla Linn Merrifield, this work explores the earth elements of these instruments: wood, metal, and stone. Using the abilities and some extended techniques of the instruments both in range and especially a variety of percussion instruments, the work is at times primoradial in texture and at others beautiful in telling the story of the earth.
