With AI creating flawless faces + bodies and social media depicting idealized depictions of life, young people are easily trapped by the fallacy of perfection. “You Are” celebrates the uniqueness of each human in your choir-- broken, flawed, broken, yet beautiful. Poetry by two Gen Z authors, Tamia Elliot and Ava Pardue, connects to high school and college singers with authenticity and power. Composer Dr. J.D. Frizzell is a two-time GRAMMY Music Educator Finalist, whose vocal ensembles have had their music streamed 120 million times worldwide. His groups have performed at regional, national, and international conventions. He is an active and successful high school choir director who understands the needs of today's teenagers, both musically and emotionally.
