Zira! Zira!

This traditional Ethiopian folk song is an ancient tribal call to war. Optional percussion depicts the pounding of the African drums that stirs a sense of anticipation and bravery. Intermediate students will encounter double-stops and heavy accented rhythms in cut time. Includes alternate Violin 2 parts in alto clef, as well as Violin 3 parts (Viola in treble clef) for flexibility. Powerful!
