A 17-minute dramatic that tells a true story of a maritime incident on
Lake Michigan, told through the actual words of the principle characters's
son taken from 1937 Library of Congress field recordings, and through a sea
shanty composed by an friend of those involved. The audience participates by
singing the one-line refrain of the shanty several times throughout the
course of the story.
