A Keen Observation

Are you looking for a swingin' bluesy etude for right hand? A Keen Observation is expected for the syncopated two-part writing, finger substitutions, shifting divisions of the beat which includes swinging eighth, triplets, sixteenths, along with grace notes. A hand stretch of a minor ninth is helpful, but for those with smaller hands there are indications to drop held notes when things become too uncomfortable or out of reach. Improvisatory aspects of melodic development are extended to the harmony associated with the blues and so it does not follow the traditional twelve-bar form.
